N-doping of perovskite solar cell: Technology that increases the power conversion efficiency of solar cells
Domain Energy
Technology Solar photovoltaic
CHALLENGES
- A very competitive chinese market
- An electronical doping of perovskite
- A yield losses from materials conception
INNOVATIVE SOLUTION
The technology involves a two-step spin coating process for n-doping methylammonium lead iodide (MAPI) perovskite solar cells. This controlled doping method enhances the electrical properties, increasing efficiency and reducing contact resistance in the solar cells
Applications
This invention can be applied to solar cell, but also enables the design of all basic electronic components (PN junctions, transistors, etc.).
Advantages
-
Increase of Power Conversion Efficiency
-
Decrease of contact resistance (Rseries (Ω))
-
Increase of open circuit voltage
DEVELOPMENT STATUS : TRL 3
- Proof of concept

PARTERSHIPS
We are looking for an industrial partner to guide the development work, which would be funded or co-funded by SATT Aquitaine (a French Technology Transfer Office). The overall objective is to develop and to implement the technology on a commercial solar cell.
